No big waves, no mentionable tide in Finland, ever. Typically choppy. With strong wind waves 0.5-2m. Slow waves. Lately many fishing nets close to shore. With strong winds, waves sea-currents.
The beach direction is North-South. The best sand beach in Finland. Really good conditions for learning kitesurfing. In the summer there are lots of swimmers, but they disappear just when the good winds arrive in the autumn on August to September. There is enough space to safely launch/land a kite.
As always in Finland, the weather is usually cold so a wetsuit is a must. In the summer season, you can manage with a shorty, but then again there's rarely good wind and lots of swimmers. The season starts around May when the ice melts and continues somewhere around October until the sea freezes again. In the winter you can go snow kiting there. The water is usually cold.
Take a plane to Pori. Find your way to Mäntyluoto, follow the signs to Yyteri. Or from Helsinki, you can get there by bus. Or rent a car (but you'll need a map to drive there from Helsinki and it takes about 3-4 hours to get there by car).
