Less than 5 Bft you could do freeride or slalom. More than 5 Bft take your wave board, it is THE waves spot of the North of France. Easily more than 2.5 meters. Really well known spot.
A very large beach of nice and soft sand at low tide, it could be a bit far away to walk to the sea when it's low tide. At high tide there is only a little part of sand which is enough to put the stuff of everyone. There are no rocks. No problem to launch and land kites.
It is in the North of France, so the weather and the temperatures are not very amazing, but the wind is really good when it blows. For the most part of the year you need a wetsuit for sure. In winter water is less than 10°C.
From Paris take the motorway A26 to Calais and then A16 to Boulogne. Follow the direction Wissant and then the direction "La Plage" (the beach) or Boulvard Alfred Thiriez. Here you can find a big parking lot (only cars with max 2m height). Walk to the right and behind the swimmer's zone (200m).
08-09-18 Unknown: Fährt man den Boulvard Alfred Thiriez in Wissant in Richtung Strand, findet man auf der rechten Seite einen großen Parkplatz (2m Durchfahrtshöhe) mit Blick aufs Meer. Am Ende dieses Parkplatzes befindet sich der örtliche Wassersportclub. Von dort aus geht man den feinen Sandstrand nach rechts entlang bis hinter die Badezone (ca. 200m). in der Badezone sind viele Familien mit Kindern unterwegs. Also gut aufpassen, dass keiner zu Schaden kommt! Die Welle an diesem Spot ist mäßig groß bis groß. Sideshore bei SW und NO.
