Soft sand and great access opportunity. Many accesses along the coast. Some parts have narrow beaches during high tide. At some parts houses next to the beach. More space around 17th street.
Summer hot (90's °F air 80's °F). Rest of the year a light full or spring wetsuit with water in the upper 60's to low 70's °F. Air can range from 80's to 40's °F depending on the fronts.

Spring (February to April) and fall (September to November) are the best as most of the good wind is dependent on fronts (15-20 mph: 1-3 days a week). Winter can be non stop or calm for the same reason. Summer is light and fluky with occasional 10-15 mph sea breezes.
