Best Direction:

- NW
Main Direction:
- SW
- NW

Best in SW wind. SW is the magic wind direction. Any forecast from the SW is a sure thing for wind. Wind funnels past Cape Fear and up the river creating higher winds than surrounding areas. In summer winds often match Hatteras for reliability. Works in winds from S to NW. Winter brings NW wind and glassy speed runs along the rock wall separating the Basin from the river.
