04-03-11 Steve: The Breakwall is the best area for starting off. The waves are are a lot smaller and the wind is a bit cleaner in a southerly. It curves back out a little so you can get out the back behind the Flags quicker, plus the beach is wider there, so more room for lauching your Kite.
The waves down near the stink pipe tend bigger and dump on the beach and it can make it hard to get going.
