A wetsuit is necessary nearly all over the year. The water is between 5-20°C (spring to summer), air temperature is in the average 18°C (in summer) and can go up to 30°C. If you have the adequate wetsuit you can surf from April to November. Off-season is possible but very cold.
If you come from Hamburg simply follow the signs `Olympiazentrum` when you are at the end of highway 215 (almost in Kiel). Olympiazentrum is at the end of the west shore of Kiel.
