From spring to fall the thermal wind out of South starts in the morning and is getting stronger during the day. During winter a strong, gusty wind (Poniente) blows from North. Usually a popular beach on a good day, most people go down in the afternoon for the sea breeze. Best wind is the SW (Lebeche); strong and consistent. Also works well with the E and NE wind as it accelarates against the hills. Could be gusty.

 How to get there
Transport:
- Car
Access:
- Short Walk

Airplane to Alicante. Bus or taxi to Santa Pola. The kite beach is located right at the South end of Santa Pola. Follow the seafront to the end and you can't miss it. Or look for the salt factory from the road with the big 'mountains' of salt, it's behind there.
