The Sakalava Bay is a beautiful large shallowed bay with really clear water at high tide. It looks like a big Polynesian lagoon with a reef located at about 800 meters from the beach with some good waves breaking on it (1 to 2 meters high). The reef can be reached easily because of the sideshore wind conditions.
The Sakalava Bay is a large and rounded sandy beach, so there is sand everywhere to launch or relaunch the kite if ever you were going anywhere downwind on that bay.
The weather is warm all the year. The water is around 25/27°C and the air is between 30-40°C over the year. Avoid the hurricane period during February/March.

The best season for the wind is beetween July and December. At that time the Northeast winds can be really strong (like 30/40 knots), it's droping in December, and leaving place some Southeast light winds blowing the rest of the year.
From main European capitals, take a flight to Antananarivo in Madagascar. From Antananarivo take another flight to Diego Suarez. From Diego airport take a taxi to the village of Ramena, it's the nearest small village from Sakalava Bay (15 minutes driving), or ask directly for Sakalava Bay. There are some nice bungalows and a windsurf center with a restaurant right on the beach.
