Summer is nice and warm. High season a shorty is ok, a few weeks with just shorts is possible. Usually a wetsuit is always needed. Water max 22°C in summer, normally around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes make kiting almost year-round possible. Air: summer between 20-30°C, spring and fall around 15°C. The water heats up quickly and is always warmer than the ocean.

Westerly winds with depressions. Best from fall to spring. Summer lighter. Works only in W and NW. North and south gusty, but better outside on the water.
From Rostock drive towards Stralsund and get onto B105. Pass Ribnitz-Damgarten and turn left after crossing the river Recknitz towards Saal. In Saal get onto `Lange Strasse` and turn left onto `Am Bodden`. Follow the way to the water and park at the meadow.
