Dead flat. The first few hundred meters it's about ankle to knee deep - so no spot for launching big airs. Twintip boards come in handy - if you bring your mutant or directional, bring weed-fins as well.
German standard - wetsuits all year, season from April till late October. Off-season possible, but very cold. High summer maybe a few weeks with shorts and lycra.
From Stralsund, head for 'Insel Ruegen' stay on the mainroad once you crossed the bridge. Take a left in Samtens, heading for Gingst. Follow the signs to Schaprode. The spot is a small parking lot just north of the ferries. Or exit via the camping area (parking fees).
