Clear blue water, beautiful color. Small reefs with sea urchins and corals in some areas, but easy to see. A few boats anchored close to shore. The current can be pretty strong, so make sure you know how you can get back if you can't stay upwind.
The best season stretches from May to November with water temperatures between 22°C and 26°C and air temperatures between 22°C and 30°C. Short rain showers possible all year round.
Be careful launching and landing kites. The current can be very strong. Make sure to have the marine station watch you, in the case you cannot make it back. Know where the reefs are and don't step on them, there are seas urchins. You can have a boat shuttle you to Pointe d'Esny for less current and more space, and you do a downwinder back to the hotel.
07-07-10 17:22 Toby: no wind during the last days. Only light on Sunday with max 14 knots for a short while. Locals say it is not normal during this time of the year with so many light wind days. Sun and clouds in a mix. Clothes: shorts and t-shirt during the day, at night long pants and a thin pullover can be helpful.

07-07-01 10:16 Toby: Yesterday the wind was weaker during the day, but picked up in the afternoon and got stronger 1 hour before sunset, making it a very nice session. The wind was more onshore, so coming further from East. Look out though, with the sun being lower it is harder to see the reefs and rocks, so be sure to know where they are located.
07-06-29 23:19 Toby: Good wind yesterday, kited with a 12 sqm kite. The wind was strong in the morning, a bit weaker around noon, and stronger again in the afternoon. It was cloudy, and once the sun came out, the wind got weaker. The wind was a bit gusty. I kited with a neoprene body and a neoprene long sleeve shirt on. Closer to shore the water is colder, warmer a bit out. You can wear something in between shorty and shorts.
Today the wind was about the same, but a bit weaker it seemed.
