The river mouth is a tourist mecca. It is used by sun bathers, swimmers, families and most important every other type of water craft. It is the entry and exit point for tourist boats who have to navigate the sand bar on low tide. Jet skis and cats are also everywhere. Rules: walk out as deep as possible to launch so you are away from the beach (sandy shallows), keep away from swimmers, once away get out and keep away from the main beach area. Avoid and give way to all other water craft. Always wear a safety leash. Ask the locals for advice and help.
