Fly to Gladstone airport, drive south to Tannum Sands/Boyne Island (20 minutes). Once at Tannum Sands/Boyne Island, ask at any petrol station for "Main Beach Tannum Sand".

Helmet, leash and vest not recommended but advised. All kiters in area members of Central Queensland Kitesurfers Association, so find out about local requirements from local riders. All visiting kiters very welcome.

06-01-04 james: sick spot probly one of my favorite spot in queensland defiantly sick comp on there freindly locals.
04-05-29 cheryl: recently kited in a comp here. A great spot with a great bunch of local kiters. A beautiful place to stay and kite. Great facilities right on the beach.
