Huge surfing beach, big waves depending on the Atlantic swell, but only the huge winter swells make it to this bay. Great flat areas in between the waves in the shallows to rip on. This spot offers everything, big waves, glassy flat water between waves, you can rip down the whole length of the beach. One of the favorite beaches in whole of UK.
Watch out for the wreck at low tide.
Incredible beach at least a couple miles long, fair walk to the water at low tide, high tide brings water right up to the dunes. So much space makes it incredibly safe. Very clean.
Located on the Gower penninsula. Take M4, junction 42 to cut through Swansea, although not advised if you don't know the area. Otherwise junction 47, follow signs to Gowerton, Llangridian and then Llangenith. Long drive for most but definitely worth it. Parking on the beach for 2 Pounds.
Stay away from surfers who generally occupy the center of the beach, plenty of space for everyone. Try and stay North of where the steam crosses the beach.
