Not much of a beach mostly a grassy patch. You must water launch with someone helping you. The water is shallow so it's not a problem but be careful with the trees. You need to enter from within the park near the pier.
It can be cold. But in the summer all you need is a shorty. The wind is not always there in the summer but check the forecasts, it's fairly accurate. Spring and fall you'll need a full steamer if not a drysuit.

Can be very good if from the South/Southwest as it is funneled through the opening of the bay. But any direction can be good as offshore is no danger with land on the other side. It's a bay/inlet so the wind gets funneled in the mouth of the bay and can have wind in lots of different directions. Wind in Ontario tends to be the best in the spring and fall. Best direction: Southwest breeze.
05-04-24 Mike: Good report. Rondeau Bay is best - and fantastic - with a southwest breeze. After being in the bay for 30 years, I would suggest it is MUCH warmer than other spots (the bay is a big mud puddle, after all). No rubber until at least after Labour Day. Don't forget the great lakeside riding, and opportunities for snowkites in the winter.
