No waves, shallow water, sometimes not ridable because of having no water, very flat. Due to shells shoes are recommended. Sandbar about 80m from shore.
Drive from Kiel to Laboe on the B502. The spot is at a big monument (it looks like a big tower, you will find it) next to a submarine on land. For a parking space you need to pay about 2 Euro.
In summer it is a small area to start and land your kite, so be careful. In summer time it can get very crowded. Facing the water looking to the open sea there are two obstacles in the water, just under the water surface. Keep it in mind when jumping and ask locals for the exact position. There is a nature reserve between the dog beach and Aukrog. Watch out for the signs. Its is strictly forbidden to kite there, especially on the small lagoon, and also no launching and landing, even not laying kites on the beach.
