Best winds from August until January. Off-season with more rain and less wind, but still about 60% wind. During season winds between 20-30 knots, off-season 15-25 knots.
Fly to Fortaleza, then drive with the car on CE-085 until Itarema. Drive into the center until you can only go left or right. Drive left here and immediately right again (before the antenna). Drive for about 200m to the streets end, and turn left, and next right. Then you are on a 4 lane street, 2 lanes each direction with small trees in between. Follow this road all the way along the lagoon. Behind the lagoon follow the street and go straight, where a sign says turn right to "Praia da Barra". Take the next possibility to turn right into a sand road. This road ends right at the kite lagoon. About 2.5 hours drive from Fortaleza. Park right at the beach.
