Very shallow for the first 30m. Gets deep after that. Nice Florida waters. Flat water. The more wind the choppier it gets.

Miami air: 18-32°C, water: 24-29°C in season. Bring a wetsuit for cold days, but only a few days is it necessary. Season is October to April. From October to February the water temperature will go from 79-60°F if we get a cold front, so bring a wetsuit if you get cold on this kind of weather. From March to June the water will be at 75-80°F so a wetsuit is not necessary.

The Bay is good on Southwest winds and is usually gusty. In summer time we will be going on big gear and in the season (October to June) medium sized gear depending on the wind. On season (October to June) wind will be ranging from 10-15-25 North or Northeast which is offshore (it gets stronger with a cold front), South winds are always good. The wind cycles runs for 4-6 days. In North winds drive 1/2 mile to Crandon Beach Park. Onshore SSW.

 Rules, Restrictions and Extra Info
Rules:
- Other

Not 'kite beginner friendly', there are lots of palm trees and you are close to the main avenue so launching is tricky. Not without leash, the street is too close! Avoid onshore winds. Do not ride inside the swim zone buoys, ride out beyond them and stay out there until time to come in. This launch has stronger winds when out of the SW. SW winds are also gusty coming off the land to the west and frequently contain squalls. Kiters have been lofted and injured here. Watchout for bad weather, land and secure before it hits.

 Nightlife
