Excellent waves with NW winds. Due to the long mole the waves will be excellent flat in between, nice sets. But stronger winds and big swell on the ocean needed. The water quality is not the best at this beach. Sharp shells, shoes recommended. A big stone is just in front of the 1. wind plant.
The season goes from April to November. In that time air from spring 10-20 C°, in summer up to 30 C° and autumn 10-16 C°. Water spring 8-13 C°, summer 18-23 C°, autumn 8-14 C°. You always need a wetsuit. You can go out off-season but it will be very cold, a thick wetsuit or better drysuit, mask, shoes and gloves recommended.
Take E45 and exit at no.59 onto 13 direction Viborg. Pass Tørring, Nørre Snede and Hjøllund. Just after Knudstrup and Torning turn right onto 186 towards Skive. Pass Frederiks and Sjørup until the center of Skive. Here take the 26 direction Nykøbing and Thisted. Just after the steel bridge crossing the Vilsund turn right. Pass through two round-abouts and get onto 26. In the next round-about stay on 26 towards Hanstholm. You will see the fish factory and the harbor, drive to the water following two small roads to the water. Park directly in front of the fish factory or the wind plants.
