Small choppy waves. Shallow access. When there is wind the place is very crowded with windsurfers. Only works on a NW wind and has one breaking wave. Rocky jetty at the point to the north.
Mid-late summer water temps reach about 70°F. That is the max. Summer air temps range from 65-80°F. Drysuits are needed from late October until mid April.
Varies considerably. North winds are frontal driven and seem to be best early in the day. SW thermals develop as the day goes on and seem to reduce the strength of northerlies as the day progresses. Only works on a NW wind.
Take exit 8 of Route 6E and go north on Union Street. Turn right on 6A and head east. Turn left on Corporation Road (by an antique store). The beach is at the end of the road.
05-12-02 duckman: Kiting banned mid June till mid September. When there is wind the place is very crowded with windsurfers. Only works on a NW wind and has one breaking wave. At high tide small beach and tricky launch area. It works so rarely and only on a NW wind that I cant believe somebody listed it. If you are on the Cape and it blows NW (rare other than late fall) I guess its worth a drive by but you've been warned.
