This place has an actual reef break. There are 5 sets of worm coral parallel to the beach extending for about a 1/2 mile to St. Lucie Inlet. At low tide, the closest reed is exposed for about 200 yards. Inside is butter, outside jacks huge! This is an advanced only spot for sure. It's just south of a known Florida surf break called the `Rocks`.
Typical South Florida weather. Water temp low 70's°C in winter, mid to high 80's°F rest of year. The air in summer is not so hot and squalls are almost daily.
An onshore spot only! Spring: Southerly to Eastern components dominant. Fall: Northern and Eastern, not super strong but all kites will be used in a season.
Martin County. Route 95 to the Stuart exit (100). East on Route 76 to Indian Street. Take Indian till stop sign, about 2/1/2 miles. Left and follow to stop light. Right. Go over 2 bridges. At next stop light, go right and follow to Bathtub. As you drive the last section you will see the intercoastal and may see kites at Stuart Beach above the tree line. If so, go there instead.
