Lagoon with flat water and waves on the reef. The wind on the beach is sideonshore, mostly the waves hit the reef with the same direction of the wind but at the 2 edges they wrap around and you got about an angle of 45° between the waves and the wind. Great for jumping not really for wave riding. The bottom is mostly sandy with few scattered stones. Good with medium-low to high tides. In low tide become dry but there is a deep water channel ridable at any tide just 150m from the beach. Really easy to walk to with the kite in the air.

Drive to Sanur Beach. If you ask to a taxi look for the Mercure Hotel. When you are in front of the hotel just keep driving and you will find a huge tree on the middle of the road, turn left towards the beach and there you are. If you decide to walk in the hotel once on the beach facing the sea walk to your right.
Just ask on the beach. Some common good sense and nothing else. No tourist in the area just fisherman, please keep away from them and if you get closer be nice. You need to pay for the parking if you come by car or motorbike. 12 cent of US$ for a car and 6 cent of US$ for a motorbike.
08-03-11 Unknown: Warm water reef booties are a must if you are within a few hours either side of low tide. You can buy them at most surf shops on bali.
