November to February is the best period for wind with 10-30 knots. Generally windy 80%of the time. The El Norte wind travels for over 500 miles to get here so is very steady.
Alaska Airlines or any major airline to San Jose del Cabo Los Cabos. 1 hour north on the well paved trans peninsular highway. Right at Los Barriles turn off. Be careful driving during night as cattle or goats or horses sometime on highway so better drive at daytime.
04-11-27 chemosavi: Just 10 or 15 miles south of Los Barilles is La Ribera which has an enormous beach and a big sandbar and there are almost no kiters using it due to the lack of places to stay. It has the same winds as Los Barilles but a much bigger beach. Plus the town is a `real` Mexican town and not a Sou Cal look alike. Don't tell anybody......
