Warm in summer, cold in winter. High season a shorty is ok, a few weeks with just shorts is possible. Usually a wetsuit is always needed. Water max 22°C in summer, normally around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes make kiting almost year-round possible. Air: summer between 20-30°C, spring and fall around 15°C.
From Munich: take A9 and exit in Greding. Take B13 to the lake and pass Gunzenhausen. Then you will get to Schlungenhof, pass it and turn left on `Ansbacher Strasse` until you reach the lake. From Nuernberg get onto A6, then exit in Ansbach, and drive south on B13. Before you reach Schlungenhof, turn right on `Ansbacher Strasse` until you reach the lake. Park directly at the spot.
