Hazards:
No Information

Quality:
- Cloudy
Best Tide:

Shallow, mostly flat water with some chop. Despite the name, the water here is quite nice. At the moment, this is a shallow bay protected by two large wave breakers, yielding unusually flat water.

This is about as good as it gets in Singapore, but this location is in a state of flux due to land reclamation and access is not easy (see below). The size of the beach varies by tide, but even at low tide there tends to be large sandbanks suitable for rigging and launching. However, due to the ongoing land reclamation project in this part of Singapore, the look of and access to this area could change at any time.

Largely unshielded from wind from the North and Northeast, and mostly unblocked from the South and West as well. As a result, this location works both during the Northeast monsoon (December to March) and the Southwest monsoon (June to September).

 How to get there
Transport:
- Boat
Access:
- No Walk

As of June 2009, overland access to Stinky Bay is no longer possible. There are guardhouses at all possible access roads, and non-authorized vehicles are blocked from entering (and besides, you would in addition to authorization also need an off-road vehicle capable of driving in loose sands to make it all the way to the bay). Access is still possible by boat.

Edit
 Rules, Restrictions and Extra Info
Rules:
- None

Please note that while access is currently possible by boat, this could change. Indeed, the entire bay may be filled with dirt and reclaimed from the sea. Furthermore, the police and coast guard is known to question and chase people away from this beach due to concerns about smuggling.

Edit
 Nightlife
There is absolutely nothing around this area except sand, shrubs, grasses, and some trees. There may be an occasional stray dog to play with. For a bed to sleep in, and nightlife, return to the city.
