This beach is close to the Mexican border. Warm and windy. The mean annual water temperature is approximately 71°F. Winters are typically mild, summers are hot, but cooled by the sea breeze. January, the coldest month of the year, has a mean temperature of 55°F. July and August are the hottest months with mean temperatures between 85-86°F.
From Corpus Christi drive east on 358 onto North Padre Island. Stay on the main road and turn left onto 361 North and drive until Access Rd No 1A and take this to the beach. Park on the beach.
