You have shallow water for about 300 meters and afterwards the water is going deeper. It's a very good place for learning and practicing new tricks on the flat water. In the middle of the lake you sometimes have small waves (1 meter) but it's very rare.

September and October is still ok with affordable temperature while you need a good wetsuits in December to March period. April to May is the spring season which can be very surprising in term of temperatures.

During summer (June to August) you usually have a nice thermic wind (10-20knots) which starts to blow from beginning of the afternoon (with the tide) up to the end of the afternoon. Direction is usually West-Northwest in the afternoon while it's East in the morning. September to October is the blowing season with depression bringing strong wind up to 35-40 knots. Just check the weather forecast and you'll get a fair picture. Direction is usually West-South-Southwest.
