Jetties and piers exist, but other than that the beach is over 1 mile long. The beach is generally sandy with decent width. Watch out for some rocks (mainly sandy) and some shells.

Generally doesn't blow much in the summer. Spring and Fall are best because the temp isn't that cold yet, but the winds are stronger more often. The water is cold in the spring, fall and winter (40s and 50s °F). warm in summer (70s °F).
