Winter and spring are the best times to come here for empty beaches and nice winds.

Go to the end of Bay Street and turn left on President Street. Follow President Street until it turns into Highway 80, follow 80 for 20 mins and you will run into Tybee Island. US 80 becomes 1st Street. Where this street hits the beach and makes a right turn and becomes Butler Ave, park on the meter and get to the beach. Pay the meter, otherwise you will get a ticket or towed.

Kiters must wear kite leashes on Tybee Island. Impact harnesses are suggested. Do not kite alone. Stay away from the jetties marked by poles further North.
