We have the trade winds most of the year and in the winter we get cold fronts. With the fronts comes waves, sometimes up to 8ft faces. Barrier reef, which is visible, since the water is very clear. Some flat reef plates close to shore.

Depending on cold fronts and other weather systems around. Most of the time, the weather is sunny and windy. On occasion we get some periods of calm days. I would recommend that the best time is in winter, October to February. But the summer permits a good 10-18 kts mostly ever day.

But expect to pay around 10 USD for the transfer (round trip). They will bring you to the harbour side of Stocking Island, right at a small channel. From here you need to walk up the dunes and down again to the beach. The walk is about 100m. Be careful, it is a small path and you can fall easily. Makes sure to have a pick up arranged to take you back to George Town.
