If there is less sun, or in April, May, June, September and October, the wind is more different and varies more. This year was a good year, most of the days there was wind between 15-25 knots. They say it is a cyclus of 4 years of 'good wind' and this year was the first, because the 4 years before where not that good. Also they say: good wind/a good summer here means bad wind/bad summer in Tarifa, and vise versa. 2003 was a bad summer in Tarifa. So next 3 years to St.Pere Pescador and than back to Tarifa. With North wind (Tramontana) wind is with gusts. With a bow it's better. Southeast is the best wind here.
