The beach has a little sand area and behind some trees and a lot of grass area, perfect for launching and leaving your kite without worries. The only negative thing is that in the weekends there is a lot of Caribbean locals that leave the place full of garbage and broken glasses, so I recommend to use sandals in the grass area. It's a very well known spot for the expert kiteboarders that prefer to let Orient Bay just for the kite school and the tourist.

There is a windsurf school in the left end, but they are not very friendly towards kiters. Stay out of their way with kites. Many surfers and windsurfers are not willing to share their spot with kiters, so respect locals.
