Der Strand hat nur Sand, von sehr glattem, hartem Sand bis weichem Sand, je nach Windrichtung und Gezeitenstand. Am besten geht bei am Ende des Dorfes Richtung Blackpool aufs Wasser.

Der Wind weht auflandig oder schräg auflandig 90% der Zeit. Ablandig geht auch, aber es variiert sehr oft. Von 5-50+ mph ist alles möglich, aber normalerweise weht ein mittel starker Wind zwischen 15-25 Knoten.
Fahrt auf die M6 und folgt den Schildern nach Blackpool. Wenn ihr ans Wasser kommt, biegt links ab und fahrt südlich nach St. Annes und haltet Ausschau nach Kites.
