Lots of surfers who will be surfing the waves between the northern harbor mole and the mole further north. Behind the north mole close to the lighthouse wind and kitesurfers can ride. The water can get choppy with small waves and inconsistent winds. Can have stronger currents. The small mole can be under water, so be careful. Not the best beach for beginners.

In the summer the water is around 20°C and in winter 8°C. The weather in Holland is very variable. From March to October the temperature is pretty good. When you are lucky you can have some days that you don`t have to wear a wetsuit. But normally you definitely need a wetsuit. In the months November to February it's winter time. Only die hards go out kiting with caps and hats.
