Quite save since the bay is so big and the whole beach is sandy. The location has some special wind conditions. Many days we had only less than 8kts in the North and West coast of Sardinia, the La Caletta Beach had good 12-16 knots. It seems that the valley which spans the East and West coast of Sardinia is able to increase the southerly wind to an enjoyable level. Winds coming from South (Sirocco) and North winds (Mistral).

In La Caletta try to enter the small road to the South with is close to the coast line. It is very easy to find because the bay and the beach are so big.

Off season you can even camp in the parking lots which are close to the beach, but please keep the place tidy.
