Can be choppy on strong NE's though usually flat. Tide not an issue though weeds can be heavy in the late summer and fall so body dragging beginners will dredge up a faceful. Shallow near the shore.

The beach is not that wide but due to the winds it works in and the shallowness of the water near shore a launch here is relatively safe. No rocks, some pebbly areas upwind and some moored boats. No concrete, lifeguards, unregulated public access.
