It's deep water when it's high tide, and it's shallow for maybe 50m when it's low tide. But you can't stand because the bottom is covered with oister shells. Booties are highly recommended.

The spot is just at the side of a dyke, where a road passes over. So it's a bit of grass and you only have a very narrow strip to launch. It is possible to kite there (people are doing it) but I think it's dangerous to say the least, one kite on the road and the consequences are catastrophic. So watch out with the cars on the road. Only one accident has to happen there, and kitesurfing will be banned. I must really discourage you to go kiting there, but if you really want to, make sure you use a leash and are experienced and watch out.
