Works all year round except from December to February when it's the rainy season and the wind is very gusty.

Go to Haapiti and stop at the park lot of the Hotel Les Tipaniers. 25 km from the airport and 30 from the harbor. Hitch hiking works, a lot of kiters on the road to the spot from 9-11 am! Buses are very rare. To access use the road of the Hotel Les Tipaniers and walk to the beach for 100 m. Pass the wharf and the beach is here.
