Local kiters only kite outside of Beach Park times, which are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer season. This is NOT a kite beginners spot. Experienced kites only should venture to Long Beach. The locals take this spot very seriously and will inform you of the rules/regulations if you clearly are not an experienced kiter. There have been a few kite accidents here from non-seasoned kiters, so please keep clear of Long Beach unless you can handle big waves, current, rocks and buildings.
