Great place to learn and ride flat water in SW winds. Best riding is strong SW winds. The huge shallow sand bar totally knocks down the chop for awesome flat water. Or venture out in the deeper water for chop riding.

Once summer hits it gets surface weeds which make riding a pain. They come and go and sometimes the city cuts them out. It's worth it to see. The weeds are a problem if the winds are SW or W.
