If you have problems there is no more beach only cliffs to the South and North.

In summer when it's blowing more than 30 knots and gusty in Sotavento (12 minutes by car in the other side of the island) here the wind is 20-25 knots and constant. The sea at this side of the island is very dangerous and you don't have much room for errors. The wind usually is onshore sometimes a litle sideonshore. It's difficult to go out for the wind direction and big waves.

Drive straight to the end of the village and you find a surf school after that there is a sand road to the beach where everybody goes for surfing. Park the car in the top of a little hill and you have to walk 5 minutes to the beach.

Dropping the kite once can mean you will be taken out to the ocean with only high cliffs, no chance for rescue. Surfers have to be respected if you don't want problems. Low tide is the time to go, high tide is even more difficult.
