Cabo de la Vela is a very small town, 1200 population, and all area is surrounded by family houses called "Rancherias", you should stay in one of those, you should sleep in "hamacas" under a shelter, first night is hard but then you get used to, price for one week including Hamaca, Fresh Water, Drinks (No licuor) and meals, just fresh fish and crab, will range from 80-100 USD. There are no rules, no commodities, no air conditioner, no fans, no beds, no electric power, no running water, no showers. Water is provided by a tank car once a week and ice is provided once a day, at night there are solar powered lamps that are on until they run out of charge. Showers are closed and you have to use a bucket to carry your own water, as well as sanitary services.
