It is some sort of effect that brings the SW wind during every single summer day to the East coast of Algarve (Altura is located in the middle). Wind from 12-20 knots during the summer, 15-25 when the good East wind enters in the winter. Wind side to side on from either side (East, SE or SW). October to April it is a five star spot for the East wind that comes from Gibraltar (only works in the south of Portugal). Sideshore: ENE and WSW.
