Take A57 and exit to Alpen, here take B57 and B58 towards Xanten. Follow signs to the Nordsee and Wardt. Get on the Vossekuhlsweg, which goes along the waterski cable park and drive onto the sand spit south of the cable park. Here you can also park.

To surf on this lake you need a surf license. If you have a license, you have to pay 5 Euro for a day pass, and 3 Euro if you come after 17:00. A yearly pass costs 80 Euro and with gear storage in Wardt 126 Euro.
