Small, sandy beach. Not much space. To launch get into the shallow water. Wind your lines on the ebach, lost of people around. Lots of space on the sandbar, good to launch in offshore conditions. The sandbar can be very packed on weekends with boats.
Main wind directions: East and Northeast. From these directions the winds are very steady. Be careful with thunderstorms and squalls. Always keep watching the sky. Works also in SE, SW and S winds. In W, N and NW (offshore) winds get to the sandbar with a jetski etc.
From Miami drive down to the Florida Keys. Get onto Windley Key and just before the bridge onto Islamorada turn left on mile marker 84 to the oceanside at Holiday Isle. Park more to the left and get to the Rum Runners beach.
