Climate conditions: Summer is from Dec-May, temperatures are warm to hot, with some rain fall. Winter is from June-November and the temperatures are superb with little rain. Water temperatures range between 23-27°C. Don't forget your sunscreen! The Australian sun burns. A rash vest with UV protection is a good idea for hours on the water.

Best: Fly in from Sydney to Hamilton Island 2 hour flight then ferry (40min) to Shute Harbour, mainland & Airlie Beach (Party Town). Fly in from Brisbane to Proserpine 1 hour flight (mainland). Or drive, rental car's are available or you can catch a bus from Brisbane (it's a long drive but there are some great kitesurfing destinations along the way). You either have to do a day trip here on a boat, or charter a yacht to get here.

04-05-29 cheryl: It doesn't get much better than this. (except if you want waves). You won't get better sand or more crystal clear water. You either have to do a day trip here on a boat, or charter a yacht to get here. Well worth it. A must for every kiter. If you don't get wind you'll love the postcard views.
