Mainly gusty North wind, about 6-18 knots. The wind comes to this spot later than on other spots, but also stays longer. Best winds in spring and summer. It works only with sunshine, without any clouds, then the thermal kicks in at noon. The strongest winds come with cold nights and hot days, and no rain for at least 24 hours.
From A95 take the exit Murnau. Follow signs to Kochel and here towards Urfeld and Walchensee on B11. When you enter Walchensee you will find the big parking lot.
