Summer: warm water, no wetsuit. Winter: cold water, long wetsuit. The weather ranges from hot in summer 42°C to mildly cold 4°C in winter. Summer starts in December and finishes in March.
Good SSW wind from November to March. During the summer Perth gets the infamous "Fremantle Doctor" (the most consistent wind in the world), making it ideal kitesurfing conditions. It's just like clockwork, coming in between noon, and 3pm. Giving you somewhere between 15-25 knots (average) a day. You maybe able to get some days during the winter time, however with strong, gusty and squally winds.
