Two known wave breaks: Peak and Pipe. Excellent wave spot. Very nice waves. The Peak Swell period is from April to September. Late and early season October to March can offer perfect clean conditions. Inside the reef flat to choppy. Surf breaking on the reef table about 700m from the shore. Inner lagoon good for flat water during high-intermediate tide. Low tide too shallow. Intermediate level and above. The surf can get up to 20 feet, the reef is sharp. The water is of an incredible turquoise color with nice sand and few corals. The lagoon is about 500 meters wide with flat water and big waves on the reef, there are 2 big channels about 200 meters wide to get out of the lagoon, the wind is side shore on the beach. In low tide you can't ride inside this lagoon as it goes dry but can easily move to Nungas, the next bay, just 800 meters away where there is always deep water. The Peak, is an intense hollow right & left peak A frame with a guaranteed backdoor for those with the balls to pull in, wind is slightly more on shore, funny to ride the waves up wind and great to boost of the wave. Here the swell is the most consistent, never smaller then 2 meters and as big then 5 meters. The Pipe, is on the left of the Peak and is very good for riding lefthander waves, the wind is side shore that turns slightly off as the waves wrap around the point, the waves are very fast and hollow with a double section that tube. It is quite safe here as if you drop the kite it will go down in the deep water channel and you have time for relaunch. The coral is sharp, recommended to use booties.

 How to get there
Transport:
- Car
Access:
No Information

1h flight from Bali to Bima, Sumbawa. Transfer around 2.5 hrs to Lakey Peak. 100km south from Bima. Lakey Peak, is one of the most famous surfing spot in the island and is closed to the city of Hu Hu. Since there is no more ferry the best way to get there is by plane using the new daily Merpati flight, a 45 minutes trip using a jet plane that can carry about 70 passenger, so no more problems for the equipment. From the airport to the location is another 2 hours driving. In Lakey peak there are 4-5 little hotels for surfer.
