Super flat. Barely a ripple. In light wind you can see everything on the surface below. Coral, fish, white sand. If your first in you'll see loads of stingrays but they leave quickly. Waves are huge out back but not rideable due to rocks.

Nice enough. Big, wide with white sand. Bit of weed washed up. Plenty of launch area. Leaving the beach can be tricky if you want the really flat stuff straight away as there is a rocky outcrop in the way. As soon as a kitesurfer pulls up to this beach they would start drooling.

Summer air average about 26°C, water about 22°C. On a warm day can get by in shorts. Cooler days go a springsuit. Only bad time of year is late autumn and winter, although we still get out here about once a week at least.

Works from West through South to East. Summer seabreeze 10-20 knots from South/Southeast. Other winds frontal SW which can get very strong (40 knots). Winter winds are offshore and due to our cliffs are very gusty.

Port Fairy is 300km West of Melbourne, at the end of the Great Ocean Road.

Port Fairy is a very popular tourist town. Home of the Port Fairy Folk Festival in March when the towns population of 2000 swells to 100,000. Through summer there are generally an extra 3000 tourists in town each day. No one in winter!
